About — She Journeys
Joyce A. Sanders.
The woman holding the sacred thread.
Guide. Priestess of the everyday. A woman who has walked the temples of Egypt enough times to know — this land does not need to be sold. It only needs to be honoured.
The story
I did not find Egypt. Egypt found me.
For most of my life I was the woman who did everything right — the career, the calm, the certainty. And still, something ancient in me kept knocking. A quiet voice underneath the productivity, asking: is this really all you came for?
Egypt was the answer I had been avoiding. The first time I stood at the feet of Sekhmet, something inside me — old, wordless, and mine — sat up and remembered. I have not been the same woman since.
She Journeys was born from that remembering. Not as a business. As a devotion. A way to walk other women back to the parts of themselves the world convinced them to leave behind.
Lineage & craft
Trained in temple, tempered by life.
I hold over two decades of study in sacred feminine traditions, Egyptian temple work, energetic ceremony and embodied practice — but the credential I trust most is time. Time on the ground. Time with elders. Time in silence.
I am not a guru and I am not selling awakening. I am a woman who prepares the room, holds the container, and walks beside you as the temple does its work.
My philosophy
Three words I teach by, live by, and walk women home to.
Roar
Reclaim the voice, the boundary, the fierce yes and the fiercer no. Sekhmet's medicine — power without apology.
Radiate
Return to pleasure, softness and beauty as intelligence, not decoration. Hathor's medicine — joy as a spiritual practice.
Remember
Come home to the sacred thread that was always yours. Isis' medicine — wholeness after what has been broken.
The three I walk with
Not deities to worship. Frequencies to remember.
Sekhmet
Lioness. Fire. Sacred rage.
Hathor
Joy. Sensuality. Sovereign softness.
Isis
The Mother. Wholeness. The remembering.
My promise to you
Four things I do not compromise on.
I will not perform. I will show up as the woman I actually am.
I will hold the container clean — small groups only, no spectator seats.
I will honour the land, the guides, the elders, and the lineage.
I will not sell you a transformation. I will walk beside yours.
If something in you is already nodding, that is not coincidence.
The women who belong on this pilgrimage tend to know before their mind can argue. If that is you — let's have a real conversation.
